Current and aspiring small business owners can access the site to instantly learn about the basic components of business ownership, including financing, accounting, marketing, production and selling; creating business and marketing plans; pricing goods and services; taking the necessary steps to make their business legal and legitimate; where and how to get local, regional, state and federal resources; training and other human resource issues; and how to protect business assets with insurance. The information is available in English and Spanish, and features multimedia, success stories and audio business coach models to educate and engage users.

eBay Foundation, a philanthropic entity formed by eBay in 1998, awarded One Economy a grant of $175,000 to develop the Entrepreneur's Center.

The Center is specifically designed for three groups of entrepreneurs: New Entrepreneurs/Self-Starters without prior entrepreneurial experience but with the drive to start their own businesses; Proven Entrepreneurs who currently operate small businesses; and Entrepreneurs/Business owners with Growing Pains who need help overcoming growth barriers.

The Entrepreneur's Center will reside on One Economy's consumer Web site, the Beehive (www.thebeehive.org). Content on the Beehive is written specifically with low income people in mind and contains information on topics such as money, school, health, childcare, insurance and others. Content of the Beehive site can be viewed in English, Spanish, Russian, Urdu and Haitian Creole.
