Latino Hip Hop Summit - Objective: Youth Voter Registration via Reggaeton Artist
The Hip-Hop Summit Action Network (HSAN) is now expanding outreach to engage Latino youth by launching the first ever Latino Hip-Hop Summit to be held on Tuesday July 13, 2004 at Lehman College, Bronx New York
The Latino Hip-Hop Summit will bring together the hottest talents from the worlds of Hip-Hop and Latin music to encourage empowerment in the Hispanic community. Russell Simmons (HSAN Chairman) and Dr. Benjamin Chavis (HSAN President) will be joined by stars such as Fat Joe, DJ TonyTouch, Angie Martinez, Crazy Legs of the Rock Steady Crew, Vico-C, Rosie Perez, AB Quintanilla and Aventura.
The summit will serve as a platform for dialogue between the artists and youth to discuss a variety of issues including the historical contributions of Latinos to the evolution of Hip-Hop and the importance of youth voter registration.
